City Cleanup Week May 7-13, 2017. Curbside trash pickup; have ready before 7 a.m.

Wimbledon’s 125th Celebration June 23-24, 2017. See calendar for scheduled events and locations:

  • Thursday, June 22 – Depot museum open, steak night fundraiser
  • Friday, June 23 – Depot museum open, supper/social fundraiser for store, corn hole, beer pong, hammerschagen, DJ street dance, fireworks.
  • Saturday, June 24 – pancake breakfast, 5k, 1k. Bake sale, rummage sales. Parade. Men’s softball tournament, co-ed volleyball tournament. Blow up games and power wheel, bicycle and tricycle races for children. Car show. Depot Museum open. Lunch and supper fundraisers. Veterans Memorial Dedication Ceremony. Live band 32 Below.
  • Sunday, June 25 – Pancake breakfast, church services.

Fire Department Mud Runs are usually held every July by the Wimbledon Fire Districts. The event is held on the North end of Wimbledon by the city park. Food and beverages are available for purchase. For more information regarding entering events, dates, tickets, etc. contact Kurt Wagner, Fire Chief.

Holiday Happenings is an annual craft and vendor booth event held in November of each year. Get in on some early holiday shopping where you will find handmade artisan crafts, fresh baked items, and independent consultants show casing their items. Santa Day is a wonderful opportunity for the kids to get their picture taken with Santa and receive an early holiday treat bag. Usually held the first Sunday in December at the American Legion, this event is sponsored by the Wimbledon Community Improvement Corporation and is open to everyone. Hot cocoa, cookies and sleigh rides are available.
